Now, after many years of research, the panel that is flavour of the month at the moment, and the system is called a photo voltaic.
The photo voltaic system is well established, and the panels themselves are quite robust. Installation is very important, because if you don’t have a good foundation, how can you build your house on that weak foundation.

The same as with the panels, what’s underneath as regards to installation is just as important as what is on the top.

The installers are accredited, and thy have to obtain a BSCE. Most of these people are qualified electricians to start with, and it’s normally a short course for installers to obtain - a BSCE.

And the checks and balances also in the system are very good, in so much as, at the moment, to install a 1 kilowatt system with power to the grid, there is an eight thousand dollar subsidy. They have changed the rules as regards to income requirements, and it appears the amount of subsidy, depending on income, will drop to 4, 5, or six thousand dollars on a sliding scale.

And in the future, I will envisage that these handouts by government, which after all is taxpayer’s money, will reduce further.

It’s very good for the client, that these subsidies are available at the moment. The reason being, there is a very large demand to have power to the grid installed.
